Global Solutions

Investing in companies that help solve global challenges

The equity fund Storebrand Global Solutions was launched in 2015, the same year the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the UN. Since inception, the fund has invested in companies addressing key global challenges such as climate change, healthcare, water management, and resource efficiency. By investing in businesses driving the transition to a more sustainable economy, the fund seeks to benefit from long-term structural growth trends.

We focus on businesses with scalable solutions and strong fundamentals, not short-term ESG trends or market hype. Our goal is to invest in companies that can deliver both attractive returns and meaningful real-world impact.

An investment process shaped by continuous evolution

Our approach has progressed from early ESG screening to a fully integrated, thematic investment strategy. Each step has strengthened our ability to identify companies whose products and services contribute to sustainable development while generating long-term returns.

Today, Storebrand Global Solutions represents a highly refined, multi-portfolio-manager investment process focused on scalable sustainable solutions. The strategy combines proprietary sustainability integrity analysis through the database of relevant stocks, ALVIS, deep thematic expertise, and a robust financial and risk management framework.

Alvis: The first gate in our investment process

Alvis is Storebrand Global Solutions’ proprietary thematic whitelist and the foundation of our investment process. Before any financial analysis is conducted, every company must pass through Alvis to demonstrate genuine alignment with sustainable development themes and real world impact outcomes.
