Odd Arild Grefstad

Group CEO Storebrand

Odd Arild Grefstad is Group CEO of Storebrand ASA and Chairman of Storebrand Asset Management. Since becoming Group CEO in 2012, Grefstad has transformed Storebrand into a Nordic financial services group that has seen the company’s share price rise by over 400%. Under his guidance, Storebrand has also received several awards in recognition of the company’s global sustainability leadership.

Grefstad has over three decades of experience in financial services with expertise spanning portfolio management, financial and operational risk, corporate finance and governance. Previous roles include CEO Storebrand Life Insurance (2011-2012) and CFO Storebrand ASA (2004-2011) since joining Storebrand in 1994 from Arthur Andersen & Co where he worked in audit and consulting.

Grefstad is a Certified Finance Analyst (CEFA, AFA) and a State Authorized Public Accountant (MSc), both awarded by the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), and he holds a Bachelors in Finance and Accounting from the Trondheim School of Economics (TØH).
