Joar Hagatun is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Storebrand Asset Management, which he joined in 2025. He brings extensive investment expertise combined with executive leadership and experience in building and developing businesses.

He was the principal founder of Kron, where he held the roles of CIO, CEO and Portfolio Manager, with regulatory responsibility for the portfolio and asset management services. Previously, he spent nine years at Formue, including as Head of Fixed Income and Senior Portfolio Manager, Vice President, based in London. He managed seven UCITS funds and served on Formue’s Investment Committee.

His investment experience spans equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, hedge funds and manager selection. He also has experience from board positions in major real estate companies.

He holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), completed Executive Education in Strategy at Harvard Business School and studied entrepreneurship at the National University of Singapore.
